The Devil No Longer Exists
As Taught By Jose Louise de Jesus Miranda
(Miranda’s views are in bold. The evidence he uses(i.e. Bible Verses) aren’t what is in error, but the application of them that he uses.)
THE CREATION AND MISSION DE SATAN
Isaiah 54:16 - and I have created to the destruidor to destroy.
Ezequiel 28:14, 15 - Perfect eras from the day that you were created.
There is great disagreement over the passage in Ezekial, if it is actually talking about Satan, the same case for Isaiah 54.
ITS (SATAN’S)DESTRUCTION PROPHESIED IN THE WRITING
Génesis 3:15 - This it will hurt to you in the head, and you in calcañar.
Is 27:1 - the Gentleman will punish to leviatán, quick serpipente, and will kill the dragoon.
Ezequiel 28:19 - and for always he will let be.
Genesis 3:15 - I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
The terms explained here seems to indicate a descendant through the line of Eve will be in great conflict with Satan.
Notice that only Satan can bruise the heel of the seed which is the Messiah. In other words Satan may cause conflicts such as the death of Abel, war against God’s people, temptations etc, but God in return will crush Satan’s head. This illustration in no way relates to some form of utter and complete destruction, but a lose in one’s power. The power of the one true Messiah is no match for the tactics of Satan.
Isaiah 27:1 ¶ In that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.
Understanding the Bible as a whole is very important and we know from Revelations chapter 20 that Satan is not completely destroyed. To put one to death in the Bible does not always mean they are no longer in existence as we can see in the next two verses:
Revelation 20:10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
This verse is at the end of time, and the Devil/Satan is still alive and is condemned to the lake of fire which is also called the second death (or a complete separation from God). The verses do not at all mean a complete annihilation of Satan but a complete and udder separation from God, and will remain in eternal torments.
ITS DESTRUCTION ANNOUNCED BY JESUS IN HISTORY
Juan 12:31 - Now the prince of this world will be thrown outside.
Juan 16:11 - Inasmuch as the prince of this world already has been judged.
Both of these verses once again have nothing to do with annihilation of something, but speaks of a coming judgment for Satan.
ITS DESTRUCTION CONFIRMED BY PABLO IN THE GOSPEL
Heb 2:14 - It destroyed by the death to which it had the empire of the death.
Colosenses 1:13 - Which has freed to us of the power of the darknesses.
Colosenses 2:15 - It publicly undressed to the principalities and powers.
Hebrews 2:14 ¶ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
The same word for “destroy” here is used in 2 Timothy 1:10; where it says God will abolish death for the Christian. We still have to pass through death but the power of death, in the fact we are lost when we die is gone, the same is here as well, the power of the devil is destroyed or abolished. The Devil has no power over the Christian anymore, and is still alive to face judgment in the future. Indeed people may not try to follow the other books of the Bible, but Paul here, in accordance with his writings in 2 Timothy, is not speaking about annihilation, but just the “rendering powerless” of something.
The two verses quoted from Colossians as well simply show the fact that Satan has no power over God and His people.
